GREYHOUND ROCK, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA -- Super Bowl Sunday, January 25, 1998 was a great day for football, family and fishing. Just north of Davenport is Greyhound Rock, a public fishing beach with tidepools, sandy beaches, waterfalls and, of course, surf perch and rockfish.
Giving the local wharf a day to dry out from Jack & Steve's royal Friday evening, Ann started things off on her first cast with a nice one-pound surf perch.
While Steve and Ann spent the afternoon fighting kelp beds, submerged rocks and fish, Jack played a "Super" game of football with his son, Will and daughter, Reagan.
Jack and Steve will be cuttin' bait at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor on Friday, January 30. Join us and "good creature hunting."
